Graduation, jobs and grad school...Oh My!

Mar 12, 2007 00:46

I graduate from college in 1 month and 30 days approximately and I get married in 4 months and 2 weeks approximately. Not that I'm counting.

Since I'm graduating with a Bachelor's degree in both Biology and Chemistry...I'm figuring I'll go to grad school for a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences (research, essentially - not a pharmacist) and go from there. Actually, I'm possibly debating between that and Toxicology...but that's another blog for another day. Catch is, I decided to go to grad school too late to start this year. I've got a list of things I have to do first and that includes taking the GRE. Woot! I figure after I graduate in May I'll spend most of my spare time studying for the GRE and try to take it before the end of July.

Since at BEST I'll get into a grad school for NEXT fall...I've recently started looking for a job. I've signed up with, what I consider, a good scientific staffing firm out of Denver. She's already got me lined up to apply at a pharmaceuticals firm down here in the Springs. Hopefully, they'll call me for an interview. The job wouldn't be amazingly glamorous but at least I'd have concrete lab experience outside of my independent research at UCCS! I can live without glamorous for good experience.
