Title: Some things are better unsaid (Sequel to Final decision)

Henry's home is surprisingly welcoming Donghae notices when stepping in. The house smells somewhat like flowers and old books but nevertheless there is a fresh feeling to it. Misses Lau peeks out of the kitchen and tells them to step in further and to not be shy. I would welcome you guys with a warm hug but I doubt you would want to smell like food she laughs while disappearing back into the kitchen. Don't mind her Henry mumbles while motioning for the both to follow him.
They pass a couple of doors until they reach the very end of the hall where the guest room is located. Donghae expects something freaky, something out of the norm, something that matches the rest of the house but the room is kept simple with little furniture. Hyukjae laughs at his lover's dumb-founded expression and Henry nudges his side. Come on, it's not that bad he says and walks into the direction of another door located at the right corner of the room. Here is the bathroom in case you need it he explains and opens the door.
Neither of the two have things to unpack so they follow Henry once more. They get introduced to his father who is busy watching a baseball match. Dad Henry says, trying to get his father's attention for a brief moment to introduce the guests but his father just groans in response, illustrating that he has no moment to spare. He's only like that whenever he watches baseball Henry explains or any other sports match he has no clue about.
Amber comes over followed by Luhan, the new boy Donghae had told Hyukjae about. His facial features are stunning, not as rough as Hyukjae's. The guy looks fairly young, adorable somewhat with his doe-like eyes and his perfect nose. His lips aren't as puffy and full as Hyukjae's either, they are decent looking, somewhat like Donghae's but not all the same.
The more Hyukjae stares at the new guy the more he notices his own flaws. He doesn't feel much like staying over anymore if Luhan decides to spend the night over as well. Hyukjae hates him already purely out of selfish reasons. It is not right to treat somebody you recently met like they committed the worst crime one can imagine but what does it matter when he feels more and more like an outsider?
They get along well and for the first time Hyukjae really is aware of the situation he is in. He lacks friends, a proper social life and to top it off he lacks personality. Donghae looks so at ease when talking to Luhan or Amber, even when he's talking to Henry his face lights up. His lover and him live in a completely different world. Hyukjae is not part of that world anymore, of the one where things are going fine and jokes are made and where words are said without fearing having said something wrong or hurtful.
When Misses Lau tells them the food is ready Hyukjae merely joins to not appear rude. No matter how bad he feels he would never let somebody go through the hassle of preparing food for him and refusing to eat it in the end. It simply wasn't fair. He tried to not appear too bothered, tries to eat as much as possible when all he wants to do is go into bed and curl into a ball and cry.
Donghae isn't dumb. He's been paying attention to Hyukjae's behavior ever since the others joined them. He notices that Hyukjae keeps out of the conversations, only answers whenever he is directly asked a question, he also notices that most of the food on Hyukjae's plate is untouched and almost poked to death by Hyukjae's fork.
To Hyukjae's relief Luhan doesn't stay over but Amber does. By now he doesn't care about who is staying and who is not since his mood reached the zero point long ago. He tells them he'll be in the guest room if they need something and walks down the hallway back into the room that is the only comfort for him. Donghae greets the others' goodnight and follows his lover back into the room as well.
You really don't need to be jealous of Luhan Donghae mentions while pulling his shirt up to peal it off. Hyukjae doesn't respond. He knows he will start crying the second he opens his mouth so he merely clenches his teeth, trying to compose himself and to not start sobbing. Hyukjae Donghae says having tugged his pants down and crawling under the blanket where his lover has been hiding up until then.
The second Donghae arms reach around the other's upper body, embracing him and kissing the top of his head Hyukjae starts crying, tears overflowing his face and staining his cheeks. I know I'm unreasonable he mumbles into Donghae's bare chest but he's so perfect and I am just...plain me. Donghae chuckles while combing through his lover's hair, something that always worked it's own magic on the other. I love you Hyukjae Donghae says every part of your body and every one of your characteristics.
Hyukjae smears the snot all over Henry's bed sheets. Donghae said it was only fair since he invited Luhan over and made him cry. You really suck Hyukjae says once he calmed down. Is that a hidden compliment about my skills? Donghae answers and bites Hyukjae's neck. The latter laughs and reaches between his lover's legs only to palm him through his briefs and pull away again.
The next morning Donghae is being a dick about how Hyukjae is always teasing him but never gets it on. You can't keep me sexually frustrated forever he says while walking out of the bathroom. I bet I can Hyukjae answers and tries to fix his hair. The moment you need release I will just ignore you Donghae retorts and drags the other into the direction of Henry's room.
I don't get why you never let me touch you Donghae says and almost stumbles over Amber who is lying right on the floor. Henry turns around, half-dazed, half-awake due to two idiots not being able to keep quiet. Did you really come into my room to discuss your sex life? Henry mumbles and covers himself with his blanket again. Why don't you say something Henry! Donghae whines while reaching for the blanket his mate covered himself with again. Amber groans. Why did guys always have to be noisy in the mornings?

The rest of the day is spent peacefully, partly due to Henry's threat and partly because the two lovers don't feel restricted anymore. Their friends aren't judging them like everybody else did. Henry hasn't told his parents about them being brothers but they are glad he didn't. Donghae and Hyukjae doubt any other parent would react differently to them getting involved with each other in such an intimate way.
When Amber is gone the lovers are all over Henry trying to squeeze out any kind of information they can get. You like her don't you? Donghae beams while Hyukjae nudges the other. She's a good friend Henry answers while reaching for the remote control. Just a friend~? Hyukjae teases and Henry barely misses hitting Hyukjae with the item he is holding in his hand. You guys are quite a violent couple Donghae says and pulls Hyukjae over to his side.
Halfway throughout the movie Henry asks the couple for how long they think about staying. We haven't thought far ahead Donghae explains it was more of a sudden decision. Henry hums in understanding, engrosses himself into the movie again until blood splatters all over the place so he turns to Donghae again and tells him that they can't run away forever. I know you probably heard this countless times already but aren't you supposed to slowly face reality? Your dad is in jail for a couple of years and your mom is mentally unstable he tries to reason to them both. Donghae makes a comment about how fun it would be to join such a movie production. Wouldn't you want to play dead for once as well? he says You have a different story, play a different character but in the end you are free from all the problems reality hits you with.
They eat in silence. Everybody understood the message but nobody wants to pry further into the matter. Donghae feels awful for having mentioned something people tried to avoid speaking of. He always thought suicide was a cowardly way of solving ones problems but lately death seemed rather welcoming. Once in a while he asks himself if he really loves Hyukjae or why exactly he fell for his brother but no matter what, those things won't change and he refuses to do something about it.
Hyukjae knows Henry feels slightly uncomfortable with them around. Not because he doesn't like them but rather because it's a very unknown situation for him. He thinks about searching for work, maybe a part-time job and going to school at the same time. Donghae could also search for something with his incredibly obnoxious socializing skills. He might have even better chances then himself. Hopefully he won't forget about these ideas and get to talk with Donghae about them.
Donghae dreams of a world where Hyukjae is a random person he meets on the train. A boy with tousled brown hair and a fringe that hides his beautiful brown orbs. A boy who is occasionally scribbling something in the notebook he is holding while listening to music. Donghae tries to look away as often as he can to not attract any attention but then Hyukjae most likely wouldn't notice him. He is so absorbed into whatever he is drawing that he can barely take his eyes off of the paper unless Donghae turns around, that's when he stops for a few seconds.
They get off at the same station, Donghae accidentally bumping into the other making the notebook fall and noticing that the drawing the boy was so preoccupied with was his own face. He barely notices what happens when the boy pulls his notebook out Donghae's hands, a glint of red shading his cheeks. You are really beautiful Hyukjae says while stuffing his notebook back into his bag. You really don't need to cover your eyes Donghae says and brushes Hyukjae's fringe out of his face Please don't.
The dream fasts forward and they share their first kiss drunk on a party, have their first date after Valentine's Day when they finally figure out whom the chocolate belonged to and get together somewhere between a pile of homework and when Donghae attempts to draw Hyukjae but bitterly fails in it.
Donghae tries to suppress his tears when he wakes up. He isn't supposed to have those kind of dreams, he isn't supposed to wish for something else besides the reality that he is together with Hyukjae no matter who he is or how they got together but his emotions are clogging up his mind and suddenly breathing is so much harder then it was already.
He wants nothing more than to fall in love like a normal teenager. Something like Henry is going through but not only that he'd rather have a father who watches sport shows he understands nothing about rather than a rapist and a mother who smells deliciously yummy rather then one who attempted suicide.
Hyukjae hears Donghae's suppressed sobs but he doesn't feel like comforting him. He just turns around so he isn't facing the other and cries himself. He doesn't want to be mad at him but things are just so difficult lately that somewhere in his mind he blames Donghae for ever having touched him to the point that he couldn't get rid of his feelings anymore.
I'm going to search for a job Donghae murmurs with blood-shot eyes You might have better changes with your studies. Hyukjae argues that there is no need for Donghae to risk his studies but he knows that the latter is right when he says that it would make things easier. At least Hyukjae would have a place to stay at whereas Donghae (so he reasoned) could crash at different friends'.
I'm not really liking the idea of you crashing at Luhan's to be honest Hyukjae says after having bid goodbye to Henry who's mother had packed some food for them and which they weren't allowed to refuse. I won't, promise! Donghae says and kisses the other one last time before he walks back home and leaves Hyukjae standing at the bus stop.
Donghae feels bad about sleeping over at Luhan's on the same day he has promised Hyukjae not to but there is no way he can ask somebody else without needing to beg or pay. It's better than sleeping at home and certainly a lot more comfortable then sleeping somewhere on a completely stiff bench. He promises himself it will only be this once and never again. It's not like Hyukjae needs to know.
