What I Did With My Yesterday

First of all, it snowed!

After we finished some errand-running (including a pretty empty post office), we headed down to Britishink in DC, where Liaa did the first 5 hours of Jason's new tattoo. I slept most of the way down-- we had a very late night in the hospital with a family member, who as it turns out is okay for the time being but requires lots of testing to figure out what is going on with him.

Jason's tattoo inspiration was Hokusai's "The Great Wave off Kanagawa," and the linework alone took over 5 hours. He has a second sitting scheduled for Jan 2 to get all the color put in. It's going to look badass once it is done.

Liaa shaving Jason. Really, the reflection makes it.

The first layer of ink over the stencil.

So, I hear the area around the nipple is very tender.

The finished linework.

All patched up.

I was going to get my oblique tattoo, but ATS GC is eating all of my money for several months. But I will be heavily tattooed in the next few years... first the oblique, and then work on a shoulderpiece of my own. I am thinking blowing maple leaves.

Today: commissions, and also dyeing my roots. I have a 1.5 month skunk stripe goin' on.
