The awkward moment when you always double-check the English titles you give your fics, the English quotes you put in your fics, the English songs you quote in your fics ... and, of course, you stick to a language you do know.
And then, you realize no English-speaking fanwriter will ever do the same with Italian sentences in their fanfics - or any other language, really. Not that they need to put sentences in Italian in their fics, you know, because they almost never deal with Italian settings or Italian characters. It's just that Italian sounds sexy, apparently. I'll never get what that's supposed to mean.
I know that's how it works, I know it's just the way it is. But I still find it ridiculous and vaguely irritating and even a little disheartening - really, why should I bother getting my foreign languages straight?
Anyway, as this rant doesn't really make much sense, let's get to the point: if any English-speaking fanwriter happens here - which is quite unlikely, but whatever -, I can be your Italian beta. I can translate sentences and give you grammar tips.
Just, for God's sake, write about at least one Italian character, please.
wtf,
