It has been more than two months since my last comics entry (ouch!), and meanwhile, Rufftoon a. k. a. Johane Matte has brought out the fanbook, with seventeen of my Snape pages plus The Young Potions Master in it. Squee! Thank you for saying that about the Willow... The tree was a challenge in terms of being a plant with an attitude - it's almost a character in its own right. I was at pains to express a sense of movement.

It's funny, but in the comic I have come to think of the tree as a character; that wasn't the case in the prose story :-).

I can't listen to music while I'm writing, either. It's interesting to learn what you listen to while you draw.

I hadn't thought about the knots as eyes, but now that you mention it, in the first picture I do discern bulging eyes of the squid variety XD...
I was wondering about you, music and writing. Since you make plenty of reference to music in HI, and assembled the CDs, it was perfectly possible that you listened while working... Isn't it funny how music inspires in your head, but is a nuisance when you're actually working?
