"Hello, Siguard, Arthur." He gave a nod to each of them. "I will admit first off that this is a bit of a departure for me, but I AM willing to give it a shot. I'd be willing to try out for any part you have available. I would even be fine doing lighting and technical work if that doesn't work." It's not that the bespectacled Estonian doubted himself too harshly or anything of the sort. It was simply that he was an inexperienced newcomer into the school's theatre scene and didn't want to steal a role from anyone else.
He allowed himself a light chuckle at the prospect of extra credit. "I might have to take a second literature class to have room for the extra credit, but the idea definitely sounds nice."

Despite still being slightly nervous about putting himself out there for everyone to see, the more he talked things over with Siguard the more he was starting to look forward to it. He saw it as like going down a really big ski hill or jumping into a river for the first time. You don't know what's down there or how you're going to land, but you can't help but feel drawn to doing it.

Truth be told he actually somewhat enjoyed watching people perform in such a way. He tended to get a little carried away with himself at LARPs but never actually imagined himself getting up on stage and being the focus of everything for once. Up until the auditions were posted on the school's bulletin board, he had simply been content to watch other people brave the stage.
