Stuff.. lots of stuff.
So I've been doing an inventory of my SCA belongings for this upcoming Pennsic. It's come to my attention that a majority of the things I own are SCA related... I don't know if this is typical of scadians but I find it interesting to say the least. I remember when my aunt explained the SCA to me. I remember thinking to myself, "Wow this sounds obnoxious..." Funny how things turn out.
The 4th of July was interesting. My mother whom I haven't seen for 2 years or more came to visit... I didn't really know what to expect, but I'll tell you that I didn't expect her to stay a night and leave without saying goodbye to anyone. Everything seemed like it was going really well, we all went to bed, and we all woke up to her having left. My only advice to parents out there is; don't play fucking mind games with your kids. No really, if you don't want to be a part of their life and they have a positive alternative, fine... but don't just come into their lives and leave as you wish. It's really not healthy.
At any rate, I'm looking forward to Great Northeastern War this coming weekend. It will be a good time to make sure I have everything squared away for Pennsic and I'll get to see lots of good people.
