Fun with the Family
Something told me, I chauk it up to the spiritual, but never-the-less, something told me to go to this memorial day cook out at my friend's family's house. Now, my friend who is a good guy, had to appologize for his father, which I can understand, but at the same time didn't want him to do. I understood where his father was coming from, but didn't feel the same way.

I took Mary, who was conviently at the party, off to a secluded dark area, to talk. We talked about some very personal stuff, which I will not say here, but let me tell you, it was deep and very... personal. It was nice to get away from the party, and I had to leave soon, so I found it nessiscary to get somethings off my chest in person.
Anyways, my friend and his father, come outside and are like, Sig, lets go.
So, I jump out from the darkness and am like, "Don't worry we were just making out." We weren't - not that it wouldn't have been nice. ;)
So his dad, comes up to me and says, "We don't have that here." Now i've been around Rob and his family, which are big kidders, so I said to this guy, "Ha, your funny." and laughed at him.
Was this funny for him?
No.
He grabbed my arm and says, "I'm serious, we don't have sneaking off in the darkness with girls at my house."
First of all, I'm 21 years old, soon to be 22, this girl is 21. NOT COOL. At first my response was, sorry about that, I didn't know.
It was like I was being scolded for something and I was a kid again. What sort of crap is that?
I'm an adult, I can go as I please. I pay my taxes, I can go to war if drafted. I can freakin die for my country and some guy's dad is going to push his morals and house rules on me.
I can understand rules of the house. You don't do something that will make the owner of the house angry, but how was I to know what kind of rules he had.
I need feedback. Tell me what you think about this. Am I crazy for thinking that this guy was too harsh?
