i'm still flying. it's not much but it's enough
Today was a decent day. The good things outweighed the bad, which is pretty much all I ever hope for.
The bad:
← We (being me, my mum, & the dentist) all assumed that my jaw pain/recurrent earaches were because of my wisdom teeth. :/ Yeah, not so much. DC is wondering if it might be TMJ so I might make an appointment with my GP next month to discuss the possibility.
← I'm trying to do some virtual spring cleaning & tidied up my PayPal account because I've been using it a lot more lately and some of the information was outdated. I removed an old address & didn't think anything of it-- until a few hours later when I tried to buy something online. *facepalm* I had removed the address that was associated with an old credit card of Mum's and now PayPal is holding my money hostage until I hook another bank account/credit card up to it. FFS. Mum owes me some money so I guess I'll be shopping around for a bank once she gets her tax return. That'll be fun. :|
← I'm late / I'm late / For a very important date Livejournal correspondence. Even though I've been online a lot the past few days, things have totally gotten away from me again. I don't even know how it happens. I'm caught up & then blam!
The good:
→ Therapy was great! ♥ Lisa loved the card I made her for the Chinese New Year, not because it was a great work of art or anything (which it wasn't) but more because it was a sign that I respected her heritage. I think. Anyways, she was really sweet about it. :D We didn't really talk about anything specific but she validated a concern I've been having about my medication: now that the antidepressant is starting to work, I've been able to start differentiating between rational/situation anxiety and irrational/social anxiety. I'm meeting with the psychiatrist on Tuesday to talk about either increasing my Zoloft dosage or coupling it with another specific anti-anxiety drug. I've also been assigned to watch more Kitchen Nightmares. XD
→ If I ever get my PayPal straightened out, I may go broke because I've finally found out that YesAsia takes it. I didn't know that before and, oh em gee, there is a ton of shit on that site I'm lusting after.
→ Bill Clinton is doing okay! He's my favourite former president & call me superstitious but I was really worried about 'the rule of three'.
→ This icon has pretty much nothing to do with this entry but, look, a Triple icon! XD I ended up giving up and making my own. That scene at the beginning of episode 07, with its imagery (the red blood on the white ice) & the dialogue (we all get hurt sometimes), was really evocative.
→ While I haven't replied yet to the comments on the senses poll (see the last 'bad' point :|), I wanted to thank everyone who participated, whether they commented or not! ♥ The results are/were quite interesting. I initially expected smell to be the overwhelming choice, perhaps because of my own bias, but I was quite surprised by how many people chose taste! I am not surprised, however, that no one chose sight-- especially given our medium, Livejournal/the internet. Anyways, thank you again for participating in it & may fate be kind enough to never force us to make such a cruel choice.
