It only took me four days to achieve fic. w00t; getyourwordsout word count now stands at 223*. (Hey, it's better than 0! :D)

*2 of 5 word counters can't be wrong? I went with the first number that I could get multiple sites to agree on. *headdesk*

Suicide is Painless: a lil' Final Fantasy X drabble. It's pretty much what it says on the tin.

Embed: a trailer for the second series of Survivors. )

tv: lost, fandom: news, fic, tv, tv: survivors

I always whine about how far behind I am in my shows but it does have its perk: I have yet to finish BSG and, if I ever get around to it, it'll be less nerve-wracking to watch because I can just marathon it.

Hiatuses suck, though. There's a difference between a show taking a summer and taking a year or so. That's just uncalled for. D:

(And I agree with you on Starbuck too, though I'll give 'em credit for the mindfrak of the show's final scene. I dig stuff like that.)

LOL I actually had to go back and correct myself because I was all 'BSG did it first and better' but, yeah, I was WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. Fangirl had to check her facts and then edit (and hope that no one saw the first draft). XD

That's totally understandable. I mean, the implicit promise in hiatuses (or should that be hiati?) is that the wait is supposed to be worth it. I mean, they had all that time to make it perfect and that's what they came up with?

I feel like I am in the minority that actually felt that Starbuck's fate was amazing. She was a favorite character of mine too, but somehow how it all ended up it felt...right for her, at least to me. Everything came together in the end and I just loved it all. Then again I love BSG and think it was, and still is, perhaps the best television series ever, so heh. My bias, let me show you it.

Well, I never really watched the original ST (only some eps + the new movie), so I wouldn't know. ;) I'm kinda picky about scifi stuff in general, which is why BSG was a breath of fresh air to have a mixture of a lot of material, and it was dark shit. And I love me some dark and twisted mindfrakking stuff. Hee.

BSG is basically ST:TOS but... good. It's a noble lineage.
