2009 sounds like a fantastic year for British television. Anthony Head, Caroline Quentin, & Dawn French all have new shows and No Heroics & Dead Set are getting replayed on new channels.

Ausiello reported that Michelle Trachtenberg will be returning to Gossip Girl for multiple episodes.

Inglourious Basterds will be in theaters on August 21st. It's not my kind of film but -- it's a Tarantino film with a most excellent cast, so I'll probably watch it. :D

Charity Wakefield & Jon Seda have joined the cast of Legally Mad.

Josh Schwartz has made a web series for theWB.com called Rockville, CA. It's about music, will consist of 20 episodes 4-minutes long, & a VMars actor is among the cast (Ryan Hansen).

Tucked at the end of this article about the current Big Love advertising campaign are details about the show's new microsite that will be updated with teasers throughout the season.

Bill Paxton talked to Dose.ca about Big Love & Bill (the character).

HBO has started developing an American version of Shameless.

This article originally popped up in my alerts because it mentions the fact that Sebastian Pigott is auditioning for a role on Stargate Universe, but !!! Discovery will be airing a 'based on a true story' movie in April to promote Deadliest Catch -- besides Pigott, the cast includes Peter Outerbridge & Greg Bryk. ♥

The Doctor Who serial 'Battlefield' & also the E-Space Trilogy will be released on R1 DVD on May 5th. Both DVDs will include some fantastic bonus material. (Box art for both releases.)

Garrett Hedlund has been cast as the lead in Tron 2 (or whatever they're calling it now).

Bleak House is getting released as a Special Edition DVD & Blu-ray on May 5th. (Box art for both versions.)

Hugh Dillon & Enrico Colantoni talked to the Futon Critic about Flashpoint.

The American network ION will be airing Durham County sometime this year. Yay, more Hugh in America! XD

While promoting his new show Lie to Me, Tim Roth mentioned that he has a contract for three more Hulk films (if they happen to happen).

The LA Times is doing a whole series on Battlestar Galactica. This interview with Michael Hogan is my favourite article so far; it gives an interesting perspective on Tigh's struggle.

David Hewlett says goodbye to Stargate Atlantis -- in the process, he teases Jewel Staite, gets nostalgic about Stargate SG-1, & hopes that an SGA movie will feature Rodney with God-like powers on a planet of just women. :P

Tori Spelling is once again in talks to appear on 90210, this time for multiple episodes. (I hope it works out; even though I don't watch this show, Donna was such a big part of the 'verse -- it just seems right.)

Sci Fi Wire has linked to the first images of some highly anticipated Star Trek props.

In Treatment will be scheduled differently in its second season.

ER has received an order for three more episodes.

Julianne Moore, Liam Neeson, & Amanda Seyfried have been cast in Chloe, a remake of the French film Nathalie.

The cast of How I Met Your Mother have all been given a huge raise & an extra year on their contracts.

Michael C. Hall & Jennifer Carpenter were married on NYE. That's great for them! (And it also makes watching Dexter a little more interesting. :P)

Mad Men will be returning for a third season, even if the creator doesn't renew his contract.

Swoosie Kurtz will be appearing in an episode of Heroes, an episode written by Bryan Fuller. :D He wrote the part for her & it sound awesome. The article has more details.

Mark Verheiden talked to Comic Book Resources about Battlestar Galactica, Heroes, & My Name is Bruce.

Taylor Lautner has been confirmed for New Moon.

Among other casting scoops, Ausiello reveals that Ray Wise will be appearing in an episode of Numb3rs next month.

Mickey Rourke & Sam Rockwell are in talks to appear in Iron Man 2. And Paul Bettany has confirmed that he'll be back.

The creator of Flash Forward talks about the premise & execution of the show.

Joss Whedon is eager to explore the Dr. Horrible 'verse more, but there's nothing concrete right now.

Amber Benson will be guest-starring in an episode of Private Practice later this season. D:

Sci Fi Wire has a clip of Jaime Ray Newman on Eureka. Be careful, the video & accompanying article do spoil a major plot point.

If you want to see the new cast in action (for a few seconds), here's a Being Human trailer.

Tomoko Kawase will be releasing two 'best albums' next month, one for Tommy february6 & another for Tommy heavenly6.
