meme: year in review (2008)

Dec 18, 2008 01:50

I know how interesting my life has been this year, but I was curious to see how it played out in my journal. This meme does give me a bit of perspective. Directions borrowed from donna_c_punk. :)
Take the first sentence (or 2) from the first post of each month of 2008. That's your year in review.

January : Box art for Tin Man! It's 'subject to change'; I'm betting they'll keep it, since it ties in with what they used for promoting the mini-series. (Why am I not surprised that my first post was fandom: news? :P And I just checked & they did change the art!)

February : [It was a tv: watched grid; I had just finished the first three episodes of The Sarah Connor Chronicles & the Eli Stone pilot.]

March : I originally had a lot more to post, but I cut out the stuff that was over a week or so old -- I figure that you guys have already heard everything that happened before then. :P I hope now that I'm caught up, I'll be able to go back to my regular schedule. :) (Ah, this was shortly after the internet got disconnected at home & I was trying to build a new routine at the library. March was a ... stressful month.)

April : Well, it's a bit later than I expected but the prodigal blogger makes her return. *waves* :D (I didn't post until the 15th; it did take longer than I expected to work out the wi-fi thing.)

May : TV Shows on DVD has detailed information & the cover art for Stargate Atlantis s4. (Heh, TV Shows on DVD got a lot of love from me this year. :D)

June : Wired has a 'first look' at Fringe. (I wasn't sure if I was going to like Anna/Olivia back then, but I was all over Joshua.)

July : My flist has magical healing powers! ♥ (And you do! XD)

August : I am down to 2 lone CD-Rs and no idea when I'll be able to afford more. (The story of my frakkin' life! *sigh* Also, full disclosure: this wasn't the first sentence but otherwise I'd have to lock this entry.)

September : Fangoria has more details about what the companion True Blood documentaries will cover. (My first entry of September was actually an entry about Bristol Palin that I ended up privatising because I'm a chicken. :P)

October : A recent post to the LA Time's Hollywood Backlot photoblog has some amazing behind-the-scenes shots of the cast & crew of The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

November : Samantha Who has gotten an order for 7 more episodes, which will give it a season of 20 episodes. (I need to make sure that I start posts with stuff I actually care about! D:)

December : I'm working through this series a lot faster than I had expected. (I was watching Hanazakarino Kimitachihe. :D And I did work through it super-fast; patience may be a virtue but I had fangirlish needs!)

Not too bad; the big things in my personal life were well-represented & I know that people do appreciate the fandom stuff. I've definitely had worse years, I guess. :/
