I'm trying to do a dozen things at once today. Watch my head spin! Spin,
maechi's head, spin! Anyways, all the news that's fit to post (so far, at least). :D
Entertainment Weekly has
a Freaks & Geeks 'then & now' photo gallery. I think that most of us know where all the stars are now, but it's still worth a look for the sentimental factor. (
Look at the wee Sweets John Francis Daley!)
Jasika Nicole of Fringe talked to AfterEllen about the show, her art, & being openly gay in the industry.
TV Guide has
a feature on & interview with Band From TV.
This Hollywood Reporter article says that we have the bad economy to thank for saving The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Private Practice, & even Knight Rider.
And thank goodness for Private Practice:
Alexis Denisof is doing an episode that sounds ... very dramatic (and possibly hilarious). Spoilers for his storyline in there.
Barack Obama will appear via satellite on The Daily Show tomorrow night.
The Cleaner has been renewed for a second season of 13 episodes.
AfterElton has an interview with Nelsan Ellis, True Blood's Lafayette. They do warn for spoilers.
Children of the Stones is getting released on DVD on January 20th.
Long Way Down is getting released in a special edition DVD collection. The release date is a bit sketchy but the bonus materials are not: 2 hours of extra footage that was originally filmed, an hour of new footage, & a documentary on Ewan & Charley's first trip to Africa.
CBS has pulled The Ex List. D: It's not been officially cancelled, but ... it's probably inevitable. The worst part is that there are at least 6 more episodes that have already been produced that we may not see until they make us pay for 'em on DVD.
I've never been that confident in Digital Spy's reporting, but Sci Fi Wire is picking this up too so --
Christopher Lee & Alan Rickman have joined the cast of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland.
Sam Raimi is developing a new show for Starz, Spartacus. I honestly wouldn't be sharing this if it wasn't for this: Steven S. DeKnight, who worked on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, is the showrunner.
Instead of linking Joss's post on Whedonesque, I'd rather point you towards
io9's write-up of what he said about Dollhouse. (Yes, I have issues with Whedonesque & their Cult of Joss (and SMG) atmosphere.)
Tom Lenk officially comes out of the closet in the current issue of The Advocate. Like AfterElton says, ... it's not that big of a shock. :) I'm happy for him, and I'm kinda disappointed now that his plan for coming out ended up derailed. He had been cast in Do Not Disturb as the boyfriend of Jesse Tyler Ferguson's character & had planned to announce it after appearing on the show. Bummer. :/
World of Warcraft has finally reached over 11 million players. o_0 If I ever get a new computer, I'm so aiming for being part of the next million. XD
