I'm completely failing at getting a news write-up finished because I keep getting distracted. This time it was by girly bits. :D
Site rec:
LililiciousIt's like a mother lode of
yuri manga scanlations. They have a companion
LJ community that announces updates.
I recently mentioned to
owlrain that I haven't really been too eager to read manga scanlations, even though I'm so far behind on my reading. I just treasure the experience of having the volume/book in my head. I think, however, that I'm only really anal like that about series that I started to read offline. I've read manga online before (The Enigma of Amigara Fault, which I originally found
here, uploaded by
kc_anathema, & which I highly recommend because it's so freaky) & I didn't have any problem. I just know that it would break my heart to finish a series like Hana-Kimi by reading some 'cold' scans & not by having the text right there in my greedy little hands.
I'm going to try reading some new series online & see if I can still feel really fannish about 'em. I hope so, I miss reading manga.
