I'm starting to gain a positive opinion of FanFiction.net. I mean, the quality of the writing is a sliding scale of awesome to suck but that's true for LJ for most sites. And I keep getting sucked into these huge stories, and the chapter interface is just so easy to use.
I also just found this program that enables you to download stories from the site (among others, including Skyehawke) into various formats (including PDF). That is awesome. I've only used the program twice so far this morning so I can't guarantee it's not buggy but it's doing exactly what it says on the tin for me.
I think I'm going to have to put 'dusting off my old fanfic accounts' on the neverending to-do list. :P
