I've gotten so behind on posting news that I've got like a week's worth. :/ I'm splitting it up again because it's just getting to be too much to tackle in one sitting.
Misc.
'Don't look for dramatic changes in Emmy voting' -- a look at why certain shows always get nominated & certain shows always get snubbed.
'CW faces D-Day in fall' -- Variety says that this third season is key & gives some advice on what the network needs to do to change its fate.
Masters of Science Fiction --
Harlan Ellison talks about his involvement. (This article reinforces my belief that this project definitely didn't get the respect that it deserved.)
Ausiello has lots of casting scoop: Jason Alexander is doing an interesting appearance on Criminal Minds, James Brolin will be in the season premiere of Law & Order: SVU, Justine Bateman is doing an episode of Psych.
This article about Shore Leave makes me even more jealous of those who are there. Grey's Anatomy -- While it hasn't been confirmed (as far I can find),
Kevin McKidd may be joining the cast. I want, I think! :D
Battlestar Galactica
Industry rumour has it that
the first half of the s4 DVD release should be out in December.
Caprica may be 'more soap opera than space opera'.
Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog
[I have no tag for this because I could never decide what to list it under the format I've chosen to use. Any suggestions?]
Kristin has seen it & loved it. She shares some details but no spoilers.
A blogger at the LA Times thinks
it may be the Web's first scripted hit.
The Hollywood Reporter calls Joss 'a hero' for looking at the Internet as a business model.
MTV.ca has a neat article about it. Most notable is a comment from someone involved calling it comparable to OMWF.
And the American MTV website covered it with
'the making of a cult musical'.
Heroes
We have another new cast member. He will have a nine-episode storyline.
BBC Two hopes to air new episodes within a week of their first (American) airing. (The article also includes information about David Tennant's new project & the Top Gear drama.)
Flashpoint
The first episode will be reaired tomorrow night on CBS & CTV! That is awesome, because I remembered that it was on 10 minutes after it started. :/
A positive (Canadian) review of the pilot.
Hugh Dillon did a Q&A with CTV.ca.
And
he talked to the Vancouver Sun about his 'wholesome lifestyle' & his current cop-heavy career.
Amy Jo Johnson still gets recognised as the Pink Ranger. :D
This (American) critic likes the show & thinks that CBS doesn't.
On the other hand,
this critic isn't completely sold but thinks that it's worth a look, even if it's 'Just To See The Pink Power Ranger'.
Stargate Atlantis
This article about Robert Picardo actually eases a few of my concerns about this season of SGA. I want to like him, I really do.
... and then
Joseph Mallozzi makes me feel anxious again. :/
Twilight
EW has a look inside the movie. Even though the promo pictures are, well, terrible, I'm still rather excited about the movie.
EW also talked with Stephenie Meyer, 'who just might be the next J.K. Rowling'. (Before Book 7, I probably would have defended JK but ... not anymore. :P)
The Cleaner
Isaiah Washington has been booked as a guest star.
Grace Park had to work on BSG & this at the same time, so The Cleaner had 'Grace Days' to work around the unique shooting schedule that required.
And I didn't know that
Grace pursued this role, instead of the other way around.
