This entry talks about the midseason finale of Battlestar Galactica. Just to be safe, please don't read if you are avoiding spoilers about it.

I have not watched last night's episode. Hell, I still haven't finished season 1. But I've been reading spoilers & spec ... and I have thoughts. Well, one specific thought.

Could the final Cylon be....? )

I daresay it's highly plausible, since knowing RDM he's managed to pull some interesting things. I've been contemplating many, many things regarding who the Final Cylon is. If it could be this person or that person, and for Zak Adama to be the fifth would just be a zinger at best. But I honestly don't know. So many things are hanging in the air right now, I'm trying my best to not go overboard with speculations and theories because, as of right now, we have LOADS of time before the rest of the season is finished with our answers.

The hiatus is a blessing & a curse all rolled into one. On one hand, having to wait until next year for the half with all the answers is almost sadistic. But then I think that this might be great for the fandom -- because, heck, speculating & theorising are two of fandom's favourite activities (after wanking & squeeing, of course). Hee, I imagine we will get some fantastic alternate futures in the months to come. :D

(And, on a purely selfish note, maybe I'll finally be able to get around to catching up on the show so that I can be on the same page as everyone else when it all goes down.)

That's always been my theory! :)

Great minds think alike. ;)

I just think that Zak has to be another purpose in BSG. The spectre of his death has always been hovering over the Adamas & Kara and, with those three being basically the core of the show, I think that the final reveal will have to involve them for it to be as emotionally fulfilling as what we've been promised.
