fight off the lethargy
I think I'm becoming addicted to manga. Seriously. I have a stack of 'regular books' & a stack of manga -- and guess which stack is almost empty? :D Manga has given me back my love of reading. Before Assassination Vacation & then Suzuka, I hadn't read a book in months. Now -- I've read four volumes of various manga in the past day or so. :D
I had fantastic luck with the last two titles I read -- I love them both to the brink of fangirling.
005. Beauty Is The Beast: Volume 1, Tomo Matsumoto. (12 November 2007)
(Link.) I just found everything about this volume incredibly cute. Eimi & Suzu were favourite characters of mine. And I'm totally shipping Eimi & 'Wanichin'. (That relationship hits one of my kinks something fierce.)
006. Paradise Kiss: Volume 1, Ai Yazawa. (13 November 2007)
(Link.) I know I'm a bit late coming to this one. I've heard this title talked about for ages, but never really paid much attention. Yeah, I'm kicking myself now. I fell for this fast & hard. Yukari & Miwako are just ... ♥ Their friendship is adorable. And I don't want to get my heart broken by future volumes, but I love the dynamic between Yukari and George.
I'm basically too lazy to give this news stuff its own post. *sigh*
Gilmore Girls -- The Complete Series Collection came out on DVD yesterday. Amazon has it for around $170.
For better or worse, 24 has not been cancelled as previously thought.
Before Alyson Hannigan & Seth Green were Willow & Oz, they were Jessi & Fred in My Stepmother is an Alien. Cinematical is featuring a clip from the movie. I'm not ashamed to admit that I've seen this movie several times just for them. :D
I'm not sure that I'm comfortable with the tone of this article about transgender characters on television; it seems fairly positive, with references to various shows, including The Riches & Dirty Sexy Money.
Oh, I did go see a doctor yesterday morning after resisting for a few days. He doesn't think it's anything serious (like strep); he thinks it's just my allergies so the best thing is just to let it run its course. I did get some medication to numb my throat though, and that's really helping.
