a long awaited pause

This weekend is the first couple of days i have had to myself (i.e. not uni or work involved) in around 10 weeks and the first actual weekend i've had off since I can't remember when.

It's been great to just do what I want.  It's got me looking forward even more to the holidays.

I am slowly beginning to feel festive. For some strange reason, the CocaCola advert with the deliveryy trucks is something which makes me feel particularly christmassy as terrible as that sounds.  I also had my first mince pie of  the year today... fantastic.  After panicing for a while on friday i spent some time on the internet ordering christmas presents, i've made some progress. Relief!

Last weekend the munchkins played in stirling a matter of hours after Scotlands hopes were dashed of reaching Euro 2008 at the hands of Italy.  I think everyone hada little bit of belief, as ridiculous as it sounds on paper.  It was the busiest i;ve ever seen Stirling. Lots of people in scarves in pubs drowning their sorrows.  The gig itself was a strange one and a bit of an annoyance on our part.  The out-of-towners being put on last, to an audience you could count on one hand, not the way to put on a line-up.  Radiation Line were an interesting experience.  I enjoyed for the most part, but could see the majority of people in the audience just not getting it.

Friday night drinks were had in spoons, we bumped into some pals we hadn't seen in a wee while, which was pretty cool. Much laughs.

Yesterday started late and highlights included guitars, enchiladas, Duncan Shearer, chat.

Today uni work will be done at a leisurely pace. maybe some gamecube later on.

If I was to draw a picture representing today, it would be a cup of tea. relaxing, warming, comfort, reflection.
