Tomorrow i will finish my summer placement.  The managing director seems pretty pleased with my 25 page report on how to save the environment and big wads of cash at the same time.  If there's money involved, then interest levels elevate.  Morality alone doesn't seem to be enough to justify things.  It would be a nice feeling if the company acted on the suggestions which i've made.  Knowing that things I've suggested has saved them thousands of pounds and helped stop tonnes of Co2 pollute the atmosphere.

Went to see Future of the Left on Monday having heard 30 seconds worth of one song.  The ex-Mclusky drummer and guitarist combined with Jarcrew frontman, and now FOTL bassist.  Very Very good. Sound more Mclusky than Jarcrew. Good catchy songs and funny friendly chaps to boot. No Kilter (the support) were very good too, despite the very Emo hair/dress sense.  The other support was a bit of a mind-fuck. avant-garde protentious white noise loops with spoken word over the top.  awful for the majority, with a few glimmers of melodic relief. he brought a metal beer barrel on stage with him and had it mic'ed up and everything so that he could hit it once randomly with a drum stick throughout his entire set.

Played at Ponana with the munchkins on saturday to linzi, kirsty and logie. having our set cut short, the arsehole promoter grudging every penny of the 6 pounds which he gave us and lack of folk was a bit of a downer. however the evening did get bette once back in livi.

Played at henry's last night with sweet chin music to linzi, kirsty, jamie and the other bands, and a couple of Polish guys who really enjoyed us apparantly.  This gig was better. had lots of fun.

Tomorrow, playing at bannermans with the munchkins and jacob flynch and jackie treehorn. really looking forward to this. hopefully the collective clowt (sp?) of this gig will bring more than three people.

Sore ear week.
