I woke up today in a terrible mood. Well, I kept waking up, then going back to sleep for an hour and dreaming about having gotten up anyway. It was sort of a waste of going back to sleep, but this happened seriously four times in a row. Anyway, I... have not changed out of my pyjamas today or even really moved much from the couch. At least I bought ( Read more... )

I do that when sleeping all the time! Especially when I know I'm supposed to get up - you fall to sleep and start vividly dreaming that you're getting up and ready, you're on your way, and my dream self thinks, "Oh, it's alright, I've gotten up." Then I wake up and am like...damn it! My subconscious fooled me again! I'm glad you're feeling better now, though (:

I'll definitely read that article on the Hairpin, it sounds interesting. Two of my friends have died in the past two years and both times, I first found out by RIPs all over Facebook. It's an odd thing - I see them and I don't think anything, there's something about Facebook which makes you think that the RIPs surely can't mean anything... I don't know how to describe it.

The '10 Things I Know To Be True' lists sound good, too.

Haha, it's so frustrating! Especially when your dreams turn out terrible, and you have all kinds of anxiety about what you're doing, although I guess then it is quite relieving to wake up and make sure you don't actually do any of the stupid things you dreamed about.

I know what you mean! The first time it happened to me was maybe four years ago -- I found out about a classmate's death by being invited to an "R.I.P." group. I rejected the invitation because I thought it was a joke!

Oh, so many links! *STARTS CLICKING* Loving the Robyn Hitchcock song already, and I can't wait to read the gay soldiers article. Thank you! :)

Also, glad to hear you're feeling better.

yes yes yes. I'm so glad you liked both those things! I meant to reply to your entry where you linked the gay soldiers article yourself, but I was SO DRUNK that night (I feel like this confession is a major part of comments I send you, errr) that it would only have been vaguely sensical D: although I did really like all the articles you linked to! and Jonah Lehrer! (obvs) and Pottermore!

Hi, lovely! Just saw this today. Thank you for linking ;____;

That EDIT 2 is a between depressing and a little bit hopeful. I'm choosing to feel the latter.

yes, yes, of course! it was such a marvelous list that I couldn't not. :)

ha! when I wrote it I was quite drunk and torn halfway between hopelessness and optimism; I'm glad you picked the second.
