oh to be american
i'm part native-american. but, i don't know what tribe.
i was looking at webcomics online today, scanning the pages of somethingpositive.com, and saw that randal milholland, in the biogrpahy of his comic's main character Davan, said that he, or Davan, was part native-american. and then listed the tribe his family was from.
i'm only a few generations from the native americans in my family and yet i know nothing about them; in fact, i didn't even know it was part of my heritage until only a few years ago (not that it was a secret or anything....oh, only that it apparently was at one time).
all of this makes me sad. but then again i don't know anything about my norwegian, swedish, austrian, german, scottish, or irish heritages either.
nor my danish & english heritages (which were only discovered a few months ago).
