Everytime I answer the phone,
with the voices comes the foam.
With each transmitted sound,
a sickly, colored foam comes
and covers my ear.
The foam changes color with
the tones of their voices.
At first it comes out slowly.
As the conversation quickens
it starts to gush, down my face
and onto my chest and legs.
I try to wipe it off, but I
can't with just one hand.
I want to stop and clean up,
but I am in the middle of a
conversation, and I certainly
wouldn't want to interrupt.
Soon the foam beings to
coagulate, and I wonder
where I'm going to find
room to keep all of their foam.
I can't just throw it out.
God forbid, that'd just be rude.
