It's the end of December, still in many places, so for many this is a month of coldness and darkness, juxtaposed with joyous celebrations that are formalized with specific customs, both for families and for society at large. Have an informal celebration. Watch the sunset, the fiery colors burning against the darkening sky. The contrast of the warm colors of the sky and the cold biting at your nose and ears. Watch alone, with that one someone or with your family. Celebrate that we're all made of the things of the heavens as your cheeks begin to match the sky. And do this now, because like the fleeting few moments that the sunset lasts, we have so few days on earth to enjoy such sunsets, sunrises, moments with the ones we love. Enjoy the sensation of cold while outside, the warmth when you step inside, the ever changing colors, the sound of the leaves underfoot, the taste of the crisp snowflakes that land on your tongue, the sweet smells that fill a winter kitchen. Don't wait. We tomorrow ourselves for eternity, but some things really must be done now.

Happy and safe celebrations, all.
