What will be of the girl who can't decide?

In the song "Que Sera, Sera" (by Connie Francis), did the speaker ever strike anyone else as codependent? She blathers on for three minutes asking other people what she should do with her life, what is going to happen, and then passes the trait right on to her kids.

Imagine how utterly annoying that would get -

Mom/Professor/Husband, tell me what to do with my life. I don't want to think for myself, or be proactive in my looks/talents/life path.

And then she turns around and has kids. How does she manage to get someone to sleep with her? Can't you just imagine that conversation. Honey, are we going to have sex? Are we going to be in the missionary position? Am I going to be on top? Are we going to use birth control of any sort?

Girls out there, take note - no one likes a girl who has to ask everything. Discussion is great, we like to be included in some decisions. But the woman in this song needs to grow a spine!

(And you know the poor husband was roped into that marriage. No way that the girl could make up her mind. Mom should I marry this man or that man? Mom! Tell me which man to marry!)
