In case you haven't heard...
EA Chicago, the place where I work, was closed down last week. Ever since, I have been looking for a job. Fortunately, there have been two job fairs at our former building that I have just finished with. There are a lot of opportunities out there and a lot of people interested in us. I think the decision by EA was a poor one as it was just bad timing primarily. They gave a variety of reasons why they decided this, and while I can provide good reasons for most of them, it ultimately comes down to money. Such is the cold, hard facts of business. Anyway, I hopefully have a few leads, but things are still pretty early in the process still. I will let everyone know when I have more info to share. In the meantime, you can rest knowing that thanks to Illinois law, we are being taken care of for awhile, so I have time before anything drastic will need to happen. Thanks for all those that have contacted me to offer support or condolences. It is great to have such good friends in a time of need.
