I rather liked 8a-8d. And JMS's "I did Bab5!" goodwill is completely and utterly spent. Gwen Stacy was strike one. This...is the Kansas City Royals from 1986-present.

Does everyone forget JMS also gave us really bad He-Man cartoons? Or the Real Ghostbusters? Or god help us that tv show with Dylan Walsh and Theo Huxtable?

I guess Hasbro, since they got the new toy contract, told Marvel to give Spiderman a new costume to help sell toys.
