Sleep Hygiene

This has been on my mind ever since I got my new phone a few months ago. I have been tracking my sleep using the app that comes with it. It’s not good. I don’t appear to have the sleep apnea I feared might be my excuse for tiredness. I have no decent excuse at all. I simply don’t go to bed early enough, and wake up too often during the night (cats? Bathroom? Thirsty? Hungry? Too full? Sore? Thinking too much about work? All of the above?).

I was going to write a witty and thoughtful post about the importance of good sleep hygiene and how I could improve. Instead, I think I will take out the trash and head to bed early. I will sew, maybe watch a bit of TV, and hopefully go to sleep before 11:00. It has been a busy and emotionally draining week - not all bad, just taking a lot of emotional energy to manage.
