Lots of people were hurt.. I'm not stupid, I know this kind of destruction is not normal. Is it only going to get worse? Will it get better? There are people with special powers, Van is one of them. Why are they doing this? Is he going to be okay? Is anything going to be alright?

It's just scary not to know. And scary that maybe people I care about are involved somehow.. because even people who aren't involved are dying.

I don't know.. I don't think anyone here is quite right.. we aren't either, are we? You're stronger than most people and I can do things with light. But he helped me out safely and I trust him.. he went all the way to Berlin to fetch my aunt and he let his friend move in after her brother died. He hired me when Monsieur Jacques passed away when he didn't have to.. I don't think he's a bad person, even if sometimes he seems cold on the outside. He has a good heart, I think.
