Oh, these little quizzes are charming, aren't they, then? Lovely way to make friends on here, I suppose. Perhaps I should take part at some point, hm?
I was hoping I'd figure out the exact purpose of everything here before posting more, but it seems to be a lost cause, for I hardly have the time to read through each post on this community. Such a sad day, don't you think?
Perhaps one day it will be made clear, but in the meantime I suppose I'll just talk about things at random. Maybe I'll simply discover it.
Moving right along, then!
A lovely Picasso was brought in a week ago for authentication. Sadly I was forced to refuse it.
I would have been more than happy to confirm it as an original, as trafficking works like that can mean nothing but respectability for our establishment; however, while it was a very impressively convincing copy in most respects, Picasso didn't really make a habit of painting 'Ronald was here 4/15' carved into table legs
The owners were quite displeased, threw things, even, destroyed the painting and everything. It seemed like a dramatic over-reaction to me, really. Despite its lack of authenticity it really was quite good. I'm sure they could have sold it on ebay. Heaven knows that if the Virgin Mary sandwich of times past could, that could as well.
Ah well, it was entertainment if nothing else. I rarely get to have security escort people from my office. It really was a bit of a thrill to break up the monotony of my day.
On a side note: My computer doesn't seem to think Picasso is noteworthy enough to be in its spellcheck dictionary. How odd to live in a day where bootylicious is accepted by spellcheck when Picasso is not. Really.
