Who; Andrej & Mina
What; Andrej checks up on Mina and shows his human side
When; Shortly after
this "Bring your first aid kit," he muttered beneath his breath, his eye twitching and voice hitched with an annoyed worry to it. He swore to God if she was going to do anything stupid...
He didn't know what he would do, but as soon as he had read those words he had hurried off his bed, not caring whether or not the laptop fell to the floor and broke from the jarring movement.
It only took less than five minutes for him to be making his way onto her balcony and through her window, kit in hand. "Mina?"
Mina was by her dresser, a pair of scissors thrown carelessly aside. Reopening new wounds indeed, like hell she was going to explain to Andrej she was being metaphorical about it. It stung and bled a lot, but it wasn't a deep or scarring wound.
At least she was pretty sure it was not.
"Andy." she replied cheerfully looking up and away, closing her laptop with her non-wounded hand. "You were fast."
"Of course I was fast," he said, eyes moving from her face to the scissors on the floor. Blood. There was blood on them which only meant that she did something he was hoping that she wouldn't do.
With a like 'tch' beneath his breath Andrej moved towards her, eye falling to her wounded hand. "Were you expecting me to take my time?"
He set the first aid kit to the dress top, gaze keeping to her hand as he reached for it. It would need cleaning and dressing before it could get infected or start to scar.
"Well you know I didn't want to take you away from your pressing engagements." She said lightly, as if there was nothing at all with this scene. She waved her free hand as if it was nothing.
Mina smiled at him as he began fiddling with the first aid kit, he reached for her hand and she offered it without hesitation.
He said nothing to her. Made no witty remark, said nothing in that smartass tone he would use when retorting right back at her. No. Andrej was just quiet as he wrapped his fingers around her wrist and inspect the cut.
He gave a light shake of his head as he grabbed the kit with his free hand and pulled her along carefully, keeping the cut on her hand pointed up instead of down as he pulled her towards her bathroom.
Andrej would spare her floor from any more blood being stained on it.
Mina felt him pull her and followed on to the bathroom. No smartass remark? That was odd, "Plan on seducing me in my own bathroom? Oh my~" her tone was still light and happy and teasing.
Andrej looked at Mina when she spoke and gave a dry chuckle to her tone. Amazing how she could keep her voice like that.
In the bathroom he made Mina sit on the closed toilet seat lid and set the first aid kit to the side as he placed her hand beneath the sink faucet, turning the water on and he worked on cleaning the wound.
"No," he said, finally answering here. "I'm planning on bandaging your hand."
Of course she could, she had major serious issues too. Not that she thought of them much. Right now, her issue had the name of Aristide. She let Andrej get on with things, even if it stung what he was doing.
It was just a cut.
Andrej focused on getting the cut nice and clean, drying it off when the blood stopped and he looked to Mina for a second before turning his attention to the first aid kit. He pulled out some ointment, gauze and a small pad.
Placing some ointment onto the cut he rubbed slowly, careful and then tossed the tube aside when he was finished; next he applied the pad to her hand, pressing firmly and then he started to wrap the gauze about.
He knew how to do this. Knew too well. Usually when one would go out and kill off some unsuspecting people, those victims would fight back.
"What the hell were you thinking, Mina?"
Mina raised an eyebrow and then smiled at him, "I told you, I reopened an old wound. It's nothing." Maybe it made her sad, but she would and knew she had to get over Aristide.
Even if she had to grow to hate him, though personally she'd much rather just forget.
"This looks like a fresh wound to me," he said, keeping his eyes level with her hand. He had to make sure the wrapping was close to perfect because if it wasn't tight enough it would come undone with just a slow motion of her hand.
"I hadn't been expecting this." Andrej paused his actions and checked the wrapping, making sure it just right before finishing up.
"There." He put the rest of what was left of the gauze away and looked to Mina, fingers wrapping around her wrist again.
"Oh no, it's not at all." She smiled again, confidently, watching his actions and making no protests to what he was doing. It was alright. "Thank you, it looks as good as new!"
She made to stand up not jerking her wrist back but waiting for him to let it go.
Her behavior was starting to piss him off but Andrej was very good at keeping his emotions in check. He was very good at hiding what he was feeling. "Yeah, it's not problem."
When she stood he didn't let her wrist go.
He had no plan to let her go. She had worried him about this. She had gone and harmed herself. She was upset. And Andrej wanted to do something to try and at least get her mind off of things.
What he didn't know but he did the first thing that came to mind: tug her forward and slip his free arm around her waist and hug her tight to him.
Mina was counting the minutes until he let her go but he didn't and instead he grabbed her, smushing her against him in a hug. "....Ah...?" Blinking a couple of times, she relaxed in his arms and shifted a little.
"Mmm, you'd make a great, sexy pillow." She teased after a few moments and straightened slightly.
"Mm."
A pillow, huh? Not just a regular pillow but a...sexy pillow. That amused him a little, he had to admit, but Andrej said something not related to that. Nothing that had to do with being a pillow or anything.
"Don't do that again."
"Or you'll spank me?" She smiled teasingly, "Or wait, pay someone to spank me while you watch. Don't want to ruin your darling hands, dear." Her words were far bitchier than her light-hearted tone.
Maybe she was angry and a little crazy, and she didn't understand why this was any of his business. What did he think she was? Some crazy masochist? She didn't cut herself for the fun of it.
His eyes narrowed at her tone and Andrej's grip on her waist tightened, his fingers digging against her side and wrist. What the hell was her problem?
"Funny, Mina. Very funny." He bowed his head, leaning down towards her. "Hadn't I told you before that I'll kill anyone who thinks to, or does, touch you?" Because he remembered it. There would be no reason to pay a person to do such a thing if it meant killing them right after.
His fingers were digging into her now and they hurt but she was still smiling. She leaned a little closer, "I thought it was hilarious." she replied without missing a beat.
"You have told me before, dear. I wouldn't forget that. Maybe I just want to see you kill someone. Who knows."
"If you want to see me kill someone, then come with me on one of my little adventures when I get pissed off." Because those were the times he was able to kill easily. Though there were times when he got carried away and killed one too many people.
Mina felt herself pressed so firmly against him, it was almost discomforting, but it was also Andrej so... she stared a bit blankly back. "I see." And then looked away.
There was nothing more to say about it. She didn't care if he was a killer either way so... yeah, Mina was just this tiny bit twisted inside.
Silence settled in between them and Andrej just stared at Mina for a minute or two before he let her go and stepped back.
An actor who found an odd pleasure in killing, used it as an emotional release. It was twisted but when did Andrej care what was twisted and what was not? Never did. It made a person who they were.
He took another step back from her and turned a little, his attention going to the first aid kit as he closed the lid and snapped the latches shut.
Mina paused and then reached out to wrap her arms around him from behind. "It's okay." She said softly, as if she was soothing him, or maybe she was just soothing herself.
"It's okay."
Andrej hadn't been expecting that; what Mina did caught him by surprise and he controlled the urge to tense. Instead the muscles of his jaw tightened and he breathed. A long, slow exhale.
"Mina..."
He turned his his and looked over his shoulder at her before turning slowly in her hold and wrapped his own arms around her shoulders, curving the fingers of one hand over her arm and resting the palm of the other against the back of her head.
He couldn't stay mad at her for too long. "It's okay," he said, repeating what she did, but softer and with a calm in his voice that hadn't been there for a long, long time.
