Does anybody know much about horse breeds?  I have done some research, but I am afraid reading on the subject will never compare to experience.

Atticus, do please be a dear and not read this subject.  I will know if you have.

Are you looking for a particular colour or size? Something of larger build, or a light breed? A riding horse, or a show horse?

A riding horse, definitely. What's the standard?

Akhal-Teke, Bashkir Curly, Golden American Saddlebred (Very beautiful), Chincoteague Pony (don't let the name fool you, it's not small), Deliboz.... a Dutch Warmblood or a Gidran would probably be the best for a rider, though.

Oh, Kiger Mustang and Morab too. Horses are so gorgeous, there are just so many that come in beautiful shades of brown and gold.

I was not aware there were so many. I copied down the list. Thank you.
