who; Reza & Kamil
what; After-reconciliation talk & confession
when; Saturday evening
where; Random bar, then Kamil's place

Reza had picked a spot at the very end of the bar, she had surveyed the room several times, making sure that there was no face from the network here, nothing and no one who seemed to be following her or staring. It seemed safe enough, not that she wanted to talk business here. She wanted to see Kamil and... survey his attitude before she said anything. Part of her didn't want to forgive him at all.

But doing so made her feel better.

The third time the bartender asked her for a drink, Reza picked a shot of vodka and left it at that while she waited. After downing her drink she rubbed her jaw noting the swelling had gone down.

Kamil watched the buildings pass by as the car he was being driven around in turned the corner.  He was thinking about the conversation Reza and he had on the network, and her accepting his apology.

To be honest, the General side of him regretted what had occurred a bit, but not much.  The human, normal twenty-one-year-old side of him was the one that had apologized, and he meant it.  But there was something still about this whole apology thing that wasn't complete.

He got out of the car once it pulled up to the bar and said something in passing to the driver, nodding before he walked into the bar.  He nodded at the bartender and ordered a short tumbler of brandy before he spotted Reza.

"Hello," he said lightly, stopping in front of her.

Probably better to leave the General side out of things between them for now. She wasn't going to obey him like that. There was just something that wouldn't let her do that. Nor did she want to give up that.

Not right now.

Reza was looking at her empty shot glass when Kamil stopped by her and she looked up at him giving him a nod, "Hey."

Oh, he planned on leaving General Ardovini back at the door, not unless something happened.  Right now, it didn't look like anything would, but it was always better to be attentive anyway.

He leaned against the counter before giving a nod to the bartender as he brought his drink, taking a sip.  He used his free hand to take her chin in his hand lightly, "What happened?"

Reza tensed slightly but then looked at him. She had hoped the darkness and makeup concealed it enough. It wasn't any of his business after all, not the business of her General, maybe that of a friend.

"Spar with Maximilian. It'll be healed soon enough." Very, very soon.

"Mm, right." He let his hand drop as he downed more of the brandy.  A spar with a fellow Knight.  Interesting enough, one that was married.

There was something odd about Maximilian & Elizabeth's marriage - maybe how perfect they were.  But Kamil pushed them to the back of his mind.  He wasn't there to talk about them.

"So, what's up?"

Not that she was interesting in going to get involved with someone like Maximilian. Oh-ho no. Reza wasn't interested like that by him. Whatever, she waved the bartender over and ordered a drink. Another shot of vodka.

"Wanted a drink with you."

...Well, he didn't really have anything to say to that.

He put his tumbler of brandy down, "More like you're having shots."

"You think I should have the same as you?" she asked tilting her head slightly. She downed her shot again and pushed off the bar.

"You want to dance for a bit?" She was being so oodly... normal, oddly peaceful. Or just being too calm. It wasn't like her at all.

"If you enjoy brandy, sure." Kamil raised an eyebrow at her suggestion.  She was rather calm, down-to-earth, even.  But she wasn't drunk, he knew that much.

"Is everything alright?" he asked lightly.

"Last time we danced was fun." She replied to his question, leading the way. She had been tired from the fight but now she was feeling the high the two shots of alcohol had given her. It was all fine.

There were serious things she needed to say but... "Come on."

Kamil left his drink behind as he followed her. "And what about that talk?" he asked smoothly.

Reza didn't answer, though she tilted her head in a way to indicate that she had been listening to what he said. She just wasn't going to answer that question for now as she turned easily towards him for a dance.

He noticed that she hadn't answered, and he let it drop as he danced with her, letting time slip away into the music.  After what could have been an hour, but was probably ten or twenty minutes, he led her away from the dance floor, keeping his arm around her.

"Ready to go?" he asked easily.

She allowed him to take her out of the dance floor, "Mm. Sure, we can go now." They shouldn't be here too long, what if someone from the White Order spotted them or something?

That wouldn't be good for him.

Kamil, completely in the dark about what Reza was thinking, went to the bartender and temporarily removed his arm from around Reza to pay off the shots and drink that he and Reza ordered.  He told him to keep the change as he escorted Reza out, finding the car that had driven him here waiting.

"It's gotten pretty dark," he noted as he looked up at the sky, opening the door for her.

Reza wasn't trying to be mysterious about it, she was just busy thinking how to tell him everything without sounding... well wrong. Right now she was being calm because she didn't want to get into a fight.

"Mm." she gave him a nod and slid inside the car. She tossed her hair to the side, trying to keep it from getting all over, a minor downside to having long hair.

Kamil gave the address of his place to the driver as he slid into the car from the other side, letting him know that he could go once they were dropped off.  He watched Reza from the corner of his eye, letting her drift off into her own world.

Within minutes, they were in front of his place.  He thanked the driver and passed him an envelope before getting out of the car, going around to open the door for Reza and offering her his hand.

What was he doing? Reza tossed him a confused look but took his offered hand. It would be rude not to... but she didn't care about that. Maybe she did it because she didn't want any tension over that.

"Being a General has its nice priviledges," she noted as she got out. Nice house, driver and all... suerly a few things or most came from his own money but..

He was still a gentleman, but the confused look on her face was rather cute.  It was a side of her that she probably didn't show very much.

He preferred driving himself around, always turning down the offers to be driven around, but hearing that she wanted to have a drink with him, he didn't want to drive with alcohol in his system.  He hadn't known how many drinks he was going to have, so he played it safe.

Kamil unlocked the door to his house and went to the coat closet to punch in the code that would turn off the security system.

Stepping aside to let him unlock the door and then get rid of the alarm, she unbuttoned her jacket and slipped it off, moving by his side to hang it near the entrance.

"Where do you want to talk?"

"Wherever you want," he closed the door with his foot, leaning against the wall lightly. "You choose."

"...Your living room, I guess." She knew that room so she was bound to be more comfortable in it, but yeah. It didn't matter too much.

"Mm, alright then." He led her to the living room, turning some of the lights on - the lights in the room were bright, so a few would do - and sat down on the couch. "Feel free to get comfortable."

Reza followed, watching him sit. She thought to herself the most comfortable place for her would be on his lap but picked a place next to him and cleared her throat.

"Alright, comfortable."

She tilted her head, "I have no reason to tell you this, even if you're my General. But...."

"A few nights ago, I met a Soldier from the White Order."

... Well, that was a wake-up call.

Kamil tried to keep his General side out of this - for the moment. "What happened between you two?" Even with her healing abilities, some of her injuries took longer, he knew.  But the only injuries he had came from Maximilian today.

She fished her pockets for a small printed icon of Kintan and offered it to him. "Nothing much, he bought me a few drinks, we spoke. He wasn't looking for a fight."

She was glad he was trying to keep out his general side. She hated that.

He took the offered image and looked at it.  He had seen the guy here and there on the network, but had never really talked to him.  Now, the Black Order General would have a reason to use any public posts to find out more about this guy.

"So how did you find out he was a Soldier, aside from the fact that he's never replied to one of my filters?"

"When he touched me he did something. He drained me. Normal people can't do that to me, and why would one of your knights do that." Reza shook her head folding her hands. "No, he was looking for me."

For whatever reason.

"Drained you..." he muttered under his breath, thinking about different abilities.  Energy consumer, duplication of someone else's abilities temporarily, just two of the things that came to mind.

"Well, he didn't hold on to you for long, did he?"

"No, because I punched him in the face." He hadn't seemed so keen on holding on to long. "He... wasn't there to kill me, more like to check up, verify." It bothered her but...

"That's all."

"Mm," he nodded his head, putting the piece of paper on the table in front of them. "And thank you for telling me," he added, giving her a look.

Reza didn't say it, but Kamil would've known, if they knew who she was it was a greater chance of people around her being targets for the White Order. She didn't want... that to happen to some people around her. Not that that was coming out of her mouth.

Reza glanced back giving him a questioning look. "What?"

"...so.  Why did you tell me?" She had said it herself - even if he was her General, she had said she wasn't going to tell him.  Now he was curious as to why she did so.

"... If I hadn't and you'd found out- what would you have done to me?" Reza inquired, deciding to turn the question; she could use his answer as her own.

Interesting way of turning the tables.  He let his arm drape on the back of the couch as he looked up at the ceiling, "I would have questioned you, and I would have punished you, because if I didn't find out until something happened, you would have broken several of the Codes just by being quiet.

"So, why did you tell me?" he repeated.

And those words reminded her so much of why she hated the Order, hated.... hated him, his general side. Or something. "There's your answer, I don't want to be punished."

Not by him. Yes, it did bother her on some level.

"You do realize that any time you break one of the codes, you get punished.  You know this.  Break them numerously, all of them, and you get expelled.  If you don't want the punishment, don't do anything to earn it.

"If I had my way, I wouldn't punish you Knights.  But it comes with the role.  Don't make me do it."

"At the end of the day you can't be a friend and a general to your knights." She wasn't counting herself included as a knight, she hated it, she didn't take those vows willingly.

Expelled, heh. Punished, pfff. No, that didn't bother her as much as it should, only when he did it.

"You're right, I can't, so don't make things more difficult for yourself in the long run," he straightened himself and looked at her, "Anything else?"

She tried not to look as stunned as his words made her feel. Reza didn't want to obey him as a general, but there was little point in saying that now. So instead she shook her head.

"Thanks, it was a fun dance."

......shit.

He sighed and ran a hand through his hair, "Welcome.  I had fun, too.  And sorry for making that response sharp.  I didn't mean for it to come off like that."

He was just full of apologies tonight.

Reza tilted her head again, as if thinking about something. "It's how a general should talk, so." There was much point to that apology although it did made her feel better slightly. Not that there was anything to feel better about.

He got up, nodding.  He was trying to keep General Ardovini away for the night.

"Are you hungry?" he asked, circling around the couch.

Reza gave him an amused look, "Do you cook?" she rose from the couch and turned to him, following his movements.

"I do.  I prefer cooking at home over going out," he stopped to lean over her. "What do you want?"

Reza took her chance and aimed to place a little kiss before replying with a "I don't mind, I'll watch you cook." ...Unless he wanted her to leave. That could be done too.

Well, damn, she had stolen his next move.  He returned the kiss as he took her hand, smirking a bit.

Or was that smirk really a smile?

"Alright, let's go find something to eat."

Had this been his next move? Had she known that it would've amused her, Kamil could amuse her so much. Same as he could make her so annoyed and angry and vicious.

Kamil's sharp words before had been right, but then she'd never been good at listening to warnings. Especially when it was so interesting to risk it.
