The ship is small and smells strange; it's a transportation vessel, not a more expensive Clan one, and the engine room is not as well-insulated as most, making it bright, noisy, oddly scented, and always shaking slightly. There are three hallways off the section above the main ramp; usually, they're completely dark. Today, there's a blue-white glow coming in from the third, harsh and strong, nearly blinding. It bounces off the mist that always forms when outside air enters the ship, sending the few displays on the wall into harshness and throwing the empty trophy wall into harsh relief.
The hatch is standing open, although there's nobody there.
And then there are two creatures coming on board. One is quite tall and smells of tension and expectancy and stress. The other is not nearly so tall, but just as wired.
Christine shuts the ramp on the bar.
Christine opens the ramp on somewhere else.
"I need," Christine says to herself, "to install another door on this ship."
There's more mist outside now, and the glow is worse; there are more windows out there. Yautja like to see the stars outside, and the Clan ship happens to be near a sun.
