Funny how my first single Valentine's Day is also the first one I actually went out on. I saw Christopher O'Riley with a few people at Eastman Theater. He played Shostakovich and Radiohead on the piano. I learned something today: it's pee-Ann-ist, not Pee-uhn-ist. So it sounds less like penis. I got a good number of strange reactions when I said I was going to see a famous pianist on Valentine's Day pronouncing it the latter way. Ah well. [Grue, I know you think all I think about are penises. I'm really just surrounded by them; it IS RIT after all.]
Then we went out to TGI Fridays. Good times. I had the equivalent of two Kinky Regges today. If you don't know what that is, it's a beverage from Java Wally's, the campus coffeeshop. It's raspberry lemonade iced tea. Positively delish. So I got one before Sociology as usual, but it was lime since they'd run out of lemonade. Then I got a raspberry iced tea at Fridays and squeezed my extra lemons from the shrimp into it. Mmmm. I think it's my favorite drink in the world. Delightfully tasty with a fantabulous name, both supremely important qualities of a beverage.
Heh, I was originally going to write about a Reporter article from last week about Valentine's Day. So much for that! I do want to comment, though. The article basically said that VDay should go back to like 3rd grade when everyone in the class got a shiny card and some candy from everyone else, and you made little crafts for your family as well. "Grown-ups" tend to focus on their romantic significant others instead. Spread the love, people! Suffice to say, all my residents and professors got Valentines (with shiny Spiderman!) from me, and my residents got their choice of candy hearts or chocolate. Consider it a bribe for not being around much lately due to various circumstances, and being piss-poor at planning programs. Haha, try saying /that/ 5 times fast. Anyway, I'm pooped. But content, I may even go so far as to say happy. Yay. Goodnight everyone!
