Weekend Update

May 28, 2006 00:06

So this weekend has been pretty badass to say the least. It came faster than expected, and it is passing as slow as I had hoped. Friday after work, I called Nate to make sure we still had plans to travel to Paducah. Due to his lobsterization from the previous day's outdoor experience, he was in no mood to sit against scratching seats and drive to Paducah, much less even be awake to feel the burn on his skin. So, searching for some way to get to Paducah with limited funds, I quickly called Jarrod and, to my great happiness, got a ride to Paducah.

What a weekend it has been. Not only have we all hung out nonstop (as it should be), we saw the greatest movie (GO SEE X-MEN III: THE FINAL STAND) and have just had a generally good time. These are the weekends I live for...

Work is going very well so far. I'm tired after each day and I wish I was getting paid more, but I have met some really cool people and I have 40 hours of work, so I really can't complain. The only thing that sucks is that I get paid two weeks in the rear, so I don't get paid for another two weeks. The plus of it all is that I'm going to get a big paycheck (should be about 750 bucks) that will pay most everything I need to pay for this summer.

***I need to find a place to live now. I've still got a whole month to live at Poplar St., but I should procure a home sooner than later.
***I need to schedule for my fall classes soon, as well.
***I need to get my stuff cleaned up at the house. I've got a few loose ends and I need to get them straightened up when I get home.

I'm so glad it is Memorial Day weekend. I've gotten the rest that I have needed for quite some time. I've been constantly run to death the past two weeks, which is surprising because not many people are left in Calloway Co. However, I still manage to find some way to not be at home and elsewhere getting into some sort of trouble. ;)

I've also kinda started trying to meet someone through Facebook. Her name is Holly Pritchard and she seems pretty cool. I always like making new friends and meeting new people. That's one of the main reasons that I enjoy my job so much. I have met some really cool people through work, and now I'm meeting Holly through Facebook.

It's gonna be a good summer. I guaran-fucking-tee it. :D
