In Iceland now!

Well things actually worked out well. I'd been really nervous about travelling because the weather had been properly wintery with lots of snow and cold and as a whole the UK is rubbish at coping with weather.

I left myself a lot of time to get across from Edinburgh to Glasgow and then to Glasgow Airport and it all went swimmingly and I ended up at the airport almost 4 hours before my flight was supposed to go and the airport was operating and the flight was on time etc.

The contrast of how to cope with weather was really clear when we landed in Iceland. There was quite a lot of turbulence when we were decending. This turned out to be because there was fog, freezing cold, snowing some and heavy winds. Lots of big snow plows on stand by or working all over the airport etc.

My parents have a 6 month old kitten now, Loppa, she's adorable, very well adjusted confident and active but managable at the same time. Happy go lucky and hilarious in that over enthusiastic bouncy happiness of the OMG it's a STRING and it MOVES!!! WHEEEEE!!!! sort of way that kittens have.

So yeah things are good here, nice to see everyone and good to relax in to the Christmas holiday laziness. No work for me until the 5th of January and not much I have to do in the meantime really. It's good :)
