While I'm sitting here slowly dying of the consumption, a list of things that are good:
1. The picture in this month's Rolling Stone of Pete Townshend circa 1969 getting fitted for a suit. He's so dorky and big-nosed and trying so hard to be cool. Aw.
2. Speaking of The Who: Eric Mingus' cover of "Baba O'Riley". I've decided that the only way to successfully cover a great song is to turn it on its head and make it something completely new. This does that. It's so sad and tense and restrained, except for the parts where his voice cracks and - oh.
3. Colored construction paper. I feel like I'm five years old and eating paste, but nonetheless.
4. The middle section of O'Brian's Fortune of War. What? The part not about boats? Yeah. It's incredibly claustrophobic and uncomfortable, in the best sort of way.
5. Cranberry juice. Not that mixed shit.
6. The Clash, "What's My Name".
7. Mmm, Halls Fruit Breezers.
8. Tonight's episode of House promises large quantities of Jennifer Morrison being angry. I saw the preview clip on the Fox website, and it was hottt to the maxxx. Probably because I'm weird.
