Going through a lot, what with moving and my job ending, and cleaning and moving, and fears of loneliness and uneasiness about my housing choice, and that the timing is bad, starting a new chapter and then immediately leaving for almost a month. Also burning man and new york, and comics. But, instead, I will just write a couple of open letters, one to the American government, and one to insurance companies:

Dear Government,
Do you know what's totally rad? Socialized health care! All the cool nations are doing it. Hey, we're rich, why not take care of ourselves? It so beats blowing other people up. Seriously.
Love,
Anna

Dear Big Insurance Companies.
I know that you're a business and your job is to make money. However, when you guys turn me down for coverage because I, you know, need it, it makes me sad.
Yours,
Anna

Actually, I shouldn'y jinx myself, because I haven't gotten turned down yet. I'm getting my doctor to fax them a letter promising I won't deteriorate and cost them a lot of money. But when applying for health care is so stressful it makes a nonsmoker need a cigarette you know something's wrong.
