GRAT SKOOL

There is an art school uniform. At least 75% of the kids at this school ascribe to skinny jeans with a flowy top and retro-ish shoes. The shoe thing can be either really worn torn up holey shoes, or anything with neon. Oh, and I can’t forget the wavy, tousled hair to go with the outfit.

I am surprised how few people I’ve seen with colored hair here. I was sort of expecting more than the 5 kids plus me. This afternoon, one of the townies asked if my name was Rainbow. I can see why Sav needs to import the creativity GSP.

I would like to say that yes, ms. lyons, you were right about the lack of straight male students in HiPr. Although I do have a complaint about going to grad school around undergrads-I have no idea how old anyone is. That cute guy in the coffeeshop? Most likely an undergrad, and probably a sophomore. I don’t want to be robbing any cradles. I’ve only been here less than a week! I’m barely comfortable with the city, let alone even comfortably considering dating. But there are a few guys who teeter on the edge of of ASU (art school uniform’d) and preppy, and hot damn. Damn this predilection for artsy bespectacled boys.

I’ve been trying to figure out a few things for at least the last few hours. I can’t really say days yet, as I have only been officially here for a week. I’m trying to figure out why most HiPr students are women. I’m trying to find a building within the confines of the Historic District for one of my first projects. And I’m trying to figure out how to get over homesickness…but I think that is just time.

I might have already found a building though. However, one of the stipulations is that it cannot have been restored, but I think if it was restored 100 years ago I think it still is in the running. My other project is to rewrite the 1st, 5th, and a section of the 14th Amendment in the voice of a character. Seriously? Can a lolcat be a character? WOOD I RLY GIT CREDIT FUR IT IN GRAT SKOOL?
