After being plugged by kressel:

  1. Total number of books owned: Er. Around 150? For reference I present the picture. And I've added since then, and there are some 30-40 at my parents'.

  2. The last book I bought: Did a Pratchett spree at the ABC: Thief of Time, Night Watch, Monstrous Regiment. Plus Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams.

  3. The last book I read: The aforementioned Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Which, well. I suppose the humour's great but maybe I wasn't in the right mindset. I can *see* why it's fun but I'm not laughing most of the time.

  4. Five books that mean a lot to me:

    Dear Enemy - Jean Webster
    Jane Eyre - Charlotte Brontë
    The Bible
    Metamorphosis - Publius Ovidius Naso
The Moving Finger - Agatha Christie

May be a bit of an erratic list, but these are the books I keep gravitating back to again and again.

  5. Tag 5 people and have them fill this out in their ljs:
I wouldn't be surprised if most of you have done this by now. But feel free.

Life is being topsy-turvy at the moment... I'll update fully on that once I've sorted things out.

Got my trouser leg snagged in my bike chain this morning, now have yet another hole in trouser leg (it has happened before), grease on trouser leg and grease on hands as the chain came off and I had to put it back on. Grr.
