$350!?

As some of you know, the window broke on my car. Not the actual glass itself, but the power window function. I was in the process of rolling up the window when I heard a sound like a rock hitting my window. It stopped rolling up. In fact, it started sliding down. The mechanics had trouble getting the door cover off to get at my window, but managed to prop up the window to keep it from sliding down. Today, they got the door cover off and figured out that the regulator was broken. And to get a replacement, you have to buy both a motor and a regulator as a package. It's $350. My car is only worth $500 for trade-in. So I get to pay labor fees to have them set the window in a permanently closed position, because there's no way in hell I'm paying $350 for parts. Erg... must buy new vehicle soon.

Update: The internet is my friend. Motor $75. Regulator $60.
