AUSSIECON DAY 1
Good morning Melbourne!
Today is Day 1 of AussieCon madness. I have an interview with Shaun Tan (respected Australian illustrator) at 4pm and maybe an interview with Cory Doctorow but I will know when I get there.
The hotel is lovely though I cannot figure out the goddamn air conditioner. I accidentally set it to 30 degrees last night. Oops.
I'm actually really sleepy right now. My flight last night was delayed and then once I collected my bag, got on the bus to the city then walked to the hotel it was 10:45pm. Of course in a moment of sheer brilliance, I decided to save my interview questions to my laptop, forgetting that in order to print them I actually need a printer. So I sat on my bed and spent an hour handwriting them out. :/
Now that I'm down here I just want to say fuck it to the work commitments and do whatever I bloody well please.
Jen is moments away; once she is here we will head off and get some breakfast. The convention is walking distance from the hotel.
