Optus has failed to deliver my phone. When it hadn't arrived by 3:30pm I called to find out their delivery guys had problems understanding the address and didn't even attempt to deliver it. Of course they couldn't call me to clarify the address, no I had to call them to find out where in cruel Hell my phone was. And the address wasn't even wrong; it's address we give to customers and other couriers and they have no problems. So now the earliest I'll be getting my phone is Wednesday.
I'm rather fed up with technology companies.
Had dinner with dad et al tonight. It wasn't so bad now that Julie's 15-year-old daughter Jess has run off to Queensland (Julie's only concern: She's now getting less welfare money) and her eldest son was at his formal. Jacob was a little more receptive and there was an adorable moment when he kept falling asleep at the table with a half-chewed piece of sausage still in his mouth. But I still feel awkward and out of place.
I'm feeling really deflated tonight. I think I'm going to demand some cuddles off Tux and start watching season two of Doctor Who.
