17 weeks to go!
Went shopping with Jen and Abbi in Newtown. There was so much I was dying to splurge on but I really don't have the money right now and won't until my shifts pick up again. That's IF they pick up. *grumbles*
The weather was a little off. It would rain and get windy and cold but then the Big Cheese would flip a switch and the sun would appear making everything muggy. Be miserable or be sunny, not both. It makes choosing adequate attire extremely difficult.
I did buy a massive novel-sized journal for $8 at Borders. It was originally $32. Bargain. Also bought The Bronze Horseman from the city Dymocks and will promptly devour it once I've finished reading Turn Coat tonight.
Abbi has offered me her couch to crash on when I am in London which is nice. I'm still worried about spending money (and probably will be until I am back home from my trip) and it's reassuring to know that I will have places to bunk if need be. I really need to start properly planning what I want to do while I'm away, but I'm still waiting to book my tours. Stupid government, send me my money already!
I will be wearing the hideous new work shirt tomorrow. Ew. Every time I look at it I get the irrational compulsion to stop eating until I fit into a smaller and better-fitting size. I'm normally not so size conscious but this stupid shirt is like kryptonite to my self confidence. I feel like a fat, disproportionate teenager in it. Woe.
