I have a posse of nerds at work. They come in every Thursday night and we make nerd jokes and laugh. They are three older guys and totally cliched in their nerdiness. It's as if they have walked out of a movie. One is overweight, pasty and balding and talks with an almost lisp in that nerd way that's way too smart to understand and slightly sarcastic. Then there's the tall beanpole one with long straight hair, and finally the leader who is sarcastic to the point of abrasiveness. They're spending the weekend playing world of warcraft 3.
It's really hot in my room at the moment. Mum is quite comfortable in her room with her air conditioner. The salt in the wound is that the fan for the air con is right outside my room so when I have the window open all I can hear is this deep whirring. Not only am I hot, but I am also irritated by the constant whuff whuff whuff whuff outside my room.
Going out tomorrow night with Jen! Though Murphy's law dictates that of coruse it's going to be cold tomorrow night so I can't wear a dress. It's not bloody fair!
Kings of Leon are touring Australia March next year, with tickets on presale next week. I'm unimpressed by the extortionate pricing, but I really want to see them. It also looks like Jen and I will be going to a proper party for New Year's Eve this year; one that you have to buy tickets for!
I have come to the conclusion shoes this season suck. The heels on most of them are utterly ridiculous, I'd break my neck attempting to stand in those things. Not to mention the fact that they don't really go with the clothing side of fashion this season. Flowy, hippy styles with dominatrix heels? Right.
