Too late in the night, there will be a moment when you stand before the mirror in your bathroom, your face hollowed out in weird places from a low-wattage light bulb, toes curling from the cold tile, and you will realize beneath the harsh lighting at the too-late hour, that whatever you did or said during the day - no matter how many friends or co-workers nodded their heads or politely laughed - you stand alone.
Hopefully, it isn't really the too-late proposition that it feels like.
It's always best to make it count the first time.
