MTV Demands more money for networks it owns
Okay you won't see me get this angry this often, but right now I am livid! Read this article to find out why: http://www.timewarnercable.com/kansascity/Products/MTVNetwork/default.html I was just now flipping channels when I paused on Nickelodeon because there was a scroll moving across the bottom of the screen. It said something that my mind couldn't comprehend. It said that Nickelodeon and 18 other channels could disappear from the lineup on January 1 if we didn't call Time Warner and demand they do whatever is necessary to keep the channels on. Curious, I immediately googled to find the above article. MTV wants the cable networks to pay a buttload more for their stations which include all the multitude of VH1 and MTV stations as well as Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, and many others. If the networks don't pay, the channels will be pulled from the lineup on January first. If you're lucky I will only say this once: MTV SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only one of those channels that I even come close to watching on a regular basis is Comedy Central and honestly I could live without it. MTV has done nothing but mung up every channel it ever bought. So I say this now and I say it as someone who believes that Time Warner is an evil empire in it's own right: DON'T GIVE IN, TIME WARNER! LET MTV ROT IN HELL! They'll soon be floundering as their advertisers flee when they find that people aren't willing to pay more for their crappy stations.
