OOOoooo a secret mission.

So at work, they had been trying to spruce the place up lately, painting the columns bright colors, making cozy seating areas with comfy chairs and rugs, and nicely designed signage indicating which groups sit where. I've been watching it all happen slowly for those of us on the sixth floor and finally it seemed done except for my group's signs but I figured surely they've been ordered and will be here soon. Well, finally I decided to ask about it, people were called and it came to pass that of course, our signs had been forgotten. It pissed me off a little, our group gets treated like second class citizens, we get forgotten all the time and we're stuck on the 6th floor which is a hole. Windows are few and far between and we don't sit anywhere near them, it's always hot and humid because of the film processing, and it stinks, also from the film processing. So anyway, they came back to me and asked if I wanted to design the signs. But of course, I said yes! Special projects are few and far between and I'll actually be DESIGNING something instead of just rehashing old art. This is my chance to shine in a time when all us production artists are worried about our jobs. I hope they like it. I just don't know how well I'll deal with too much rejection. I mean as an artist of course you have to develope a thick skin because someone is always critiquing your work, but I get beat down by art directors every week. Sometimes it gets tiring having them reject my rehashed designs that I really don't care about to begin with but you'd think just once I could get it right the first time. Sometimes I think they reject a design just because they can. So this time I'm hoping I get it right. Well, time to get back to work on my poster.
