Been browsing some "writing how-to" websites, not that I need help, but sometimes you find some good ideas for forming stories, if not writing them.
Couldn't really think of a decent story until I started thinking about the novel I started last year. I was considering making it a series of inter-connected pieces anyway, so why not do a different side of the story first, maybe even a prequel of sorts?
So, I started writing out scenes for this thing, this novel that will lead into the one I've started already. It's going well so far, I think; I want to plan the whole thing before I actually dig in to doing the prose. The good news? I don't think I'll have to do nearly as much research for this one, since it mostly takes place in the present day.
If I get more done, I might post a little blurb up here, if anyone's interested.
